Section 8 Eligibility
To be eligible for Section 8 Housing, a person must be 18 years or older and his/her income must be under the very low income limit or low income limit if continuously assisted under the 1937 Housing Act.

The following income limits have been set for the Section 8 Program:

The rent for Section 8 is based on 30% of the participant's gross yearly income, less allowable deductions and utility allowance. Calculation is based on the lesser of gross rent or applicable payment standards.

All clients must pass screening criteria, which includes a criminal background check.
