The Hialeah Housing Authority's Hot Lunch program provides food and nutritional services to the senior citizens of Hialeah. The program provides seniors with a nutritionally balanced lunch five days a week and on holidays. The Hot Lunch program has two different programs: the congregate meals program and the home-delivered meals program. The congregate meals program allows seniors to come to a dining room and enjoy a hot meal in a friendly, communal environment. The purpose of the congregate meals program is to provide seniors with nutritious meals and a better quality of life by improving their social bonds.

The Hialeah Housing Authority has 13 congregate meal sites located in the city of Hialeah. Furthermore, the Hialeah Housing Authority also provides home-delivered meals to over 325 clients on a daily basis. At the present moment the program is currently providing meals to over 1,868 clients in both the congregate and home-delivered meal programs. The Hialeah Housing Authority receives funding through the Alliance for Aging by means of the OAA (Older Americans Act) Title III-C. In addition, The Hialeah Housing Authority serves a sub-recipient with The City of Hialeah in providing meals under LSP grant. The Hialeah Housing Authority is dedicated to remain compliant with all Department of Elder Affairs (DOEA) and Alliance for Aging requirements.

The main focus of this program is to provide congregate or home delivered meals and nutritional services.
