The Hialeah Housing Authority advertises through a public notice in The Miami Herald and/or El Nuevo Herald and/or El Diario de Las Americas when the waiting list is opened. Additionally, a public service announcement is distributed for widespread broadcasting throughout the community.

The notice contains:

1. Dates, times and locations where families may apply.
   
2. Programs for which applications will be taken.
   
3. A brief description of the program.
   
4. Limitation, if any, on who may apply.
   

The notices will provide potential applicants with information that includes the Hialeah Housing Authority's address, telephone number, how to submit an application and information on eligibility requirements such as income levels for the specific housing program being offered.

We also provide TDD access for the speech and hearing impaired.
