HOT LUNCH PROGRAM
The Hot Lunch Program of the Hialeah Housing Authority is a nutritional program that was founded in 1972. When it first began, the program was funded entirely by the City of Hialeah. At this time funding is derived both from the City of Hialeah, and from the Older Americans Act Title III, through the Alliance for Aging of Dade County. The Hialeah Housing Authority provides disadvantaged elderly individuals with the opportunity to receive a wide array of preventive services that include but are not limited to homebound and congregate meals at any one of our seven congregate meal sites, located in the City of Hialeah.
